This custom cat portrait was created for my oldest and dearest friend as a gift when she lost her longtime companion, Ziggy. I knew this feline well and there was never a moment when she was not talking, except of course when she was asleep. Pet portraits make unique and meaningful gifts. My friend was very touched by the gift and the painting has pride of place in her home.

Good photography is needed to commission a painting, particularly if looking for a strong likeness with a subject. Sometimes it's best if you can provide a few different options to choose from, as there may be one that suits being painted better than others.
