The biggest heart and the biggest collector

I painted this portrait of a very wonderful friend of mine as a gift when she was dealing with some things. This human has the most expansive heart, the biggest smile, and has collected more of my artwork than any other person alive. She is also intelligent, funny, and talented, and I hope I captured a hint of all of these things with this love-infused portrait.

I picked through her social media and found my favourite photo to use, and then combined it with another photo she had taken of an old covered bridge in Quebec. The choice of the latter, along with the title I chose, ended up having deep meaning for her, which made me inordinately happy.

Good photography is needed to commission a painting, particularly if looking for a strong likeness with a subject. Sometimes it's best if you can provide a few different options to choose from, as there may be one that suits being painted better than others.
