This custom cat portrait was commissioned by my ex-husband's sister as a gift to her husband (does that make him my ex-brother in law? Nah, we're all family!) to memorialize their beloved cat, Angel.

Pet portraits make unique and meaningful gifts. When John opened his present and saw what it was, he became quite emotional and declared that they were only buying their art from one artist from now on! *sniff*

Good photography is needed to commission a painting, particularly if looking for a strong likeness with a subject. Sometimes it's best if you can provide a few different options to choose from, as there may be one that suits being painted better than others.
